Naifanchin Shodan Kata - Step by Step

# Explanation
1. Begin the Kata in FUDO DACHI. On the command Naifanchin Shodan move the right foot into Heisoku Dachi. Place the right open hand over the left one (opposite as in MOSUBI DACHI). At the command REI you bow.

On the command HAJIME/ICHI look to the left opponent, followed by looking at the opponent on the right and move to the right into left MAE KAKE ASHI DACHI (left foot crossed before right foot).


2. Then, while taking a big step into KIBA DACHI, take a big KAMEA (posture) with the right SHUTO hand (left one is a fist).
3. In the same position make a left HIJI UCHI in the right open hand.
4. In the same position make a right WAKI GAMAE (left fist obove the right one) and turn face to the left.
5. In the same position block with a left GEDAN BARAI.
6. In the same position strike a right KAGI TSUKI (right fist is not moving out from the body and left fist is back in ready position).
7. Move to the left with the right foot cross over the left into MAE KAKE ASHI DACHI.
8. Before stepping into KIBA DACHI with a stamp, first hook with the left leg (like a DEACHI BARAI), , while making a right UCHI UKE.
9. Make a left JODAN UKE / GEDAN BARAI (ending with left fist upwards).
10. Strike with a left URAKEN GANMEN UCHI (movement right elbow ends on a left KAGI TSUKI-position) to the opponent’s face (look in front of you) with KIAI.
11. In the same position look to the left.
12. Block with a left NAMI GAESHI UKE (sweep the left foot with a big motion so that the back of the leg faces up).
13. Strike te opponent with a left TETTSUI TSUKI, still supported with the right KAGI TSUKI-fist, at the same moment that the foot touches down.
14. In the same position look to the right.
15. Block with a right NAMI GAESHI UKE (sweep the right foot with a big motion so that the back of the leg faces up).
16. Strike te opponent with a right TETTSUI TSUKI, still supported with the left KAGI TSUKI-fist, at the same moment that the foot touches down.
17. In the same position make a right WAKI GAMAE (left fist obove the right one) and turn face to the left.
18. Strike simultaneously a left MOROTE TSUKI (left hand slightly ahead comes down below shoulder height) and a right KAGI TSUKI with KIAI.
19. Take a big KAMEA (posture) with the left SHUTO hand (right one is a fist).
20. In the same position strike a right HIJI UCHI in the left open hand.
21. In the same position make a left WAKI GAMAE (right fist on top of the left one) and turn face to the left.
22. In the same position block with a right GEDAN BARAI.
23. In the same position strike a left KAGI TSUKI (left fist is not moving out from the body and right fist is back in ready position).
24. Move to the right with the left foot cross over the right into MAE KAKE ASHI DACHI.
25. Before stepping into KIBA DACHI with a stamp, first hook with the right leg (like a DEACHI BARAI), while making a left UCHI UKE.
26. Make a right JODAN UKE / GEDAN BARAI (ending with right fist upwards).

31. In the same position look to the left.
32. Block with a left NAMI GAESHI UKE (sweep the left foot with a big motion so that the back of the leg faces up) and come back into KIBA DACHI.
33. Strike the opponent with a right TETTSUI TSUKI, still supported with the left KAGI TSUKI-hand, at the same moment that the foot touches down.
34. In the same position make a left WAKI GAMAE (right fist on top of the left one) and turn face to the right.
35. Strike simultaneously a right MOROTE TSUKI (right hand slightly ahead comes down below shoulder height) and a left KAGI TSUKI with KIAI.

The Kata is completed after the command NAORE, moving the right foot back into Heisoku Dachi and both fists in ready position (still looking to the right). Then stretch both arms and look forward. After the command Yasmee the FUDO DACHI position is taken.
